Jewel's Carat

Stallion | 06-09-2002 | BWP | brown | 1.65

Carat is named for the unit to name the purity of gold. Jewel’s Carat completely fits this description. He was born on 6.9.2002 from the unique dam and Olympic champion horse Jewel´s Classic Touch who was not only an exceptional sport horse but also combined this with a willing intelligence to do anything for her rider.

Jewel´s Classic Touch (25.3.1984-13.9.2008) was a mare by Caletto II out of a Landgraf dam (Ladykiller XX). She was the only horse to go clear in the final of the Barcelona Olympics (1992) under the saddle of Ludger Beerbaum. Jewel´s Classic Touch was only 8 years old at the time!

Sire Quasimodo van de Molendreef is the older brother of the famous Action Breaker.
Quasimodo himself ran in international show jumping under the saddle of David Jobertie. Unfortunately, an injury ended his career early.
Jewel´s Carat is the only approved stallion out of Jewel´s Classic Touch ( official name: Whippe; Caletto II x Landgraf I).

Jewel's Dominard

Stallion | 03-05-1988 | Old / BWP | fox | 1m75

Bred at Paul Schockemöhle, the Oldenbruger Springcrack Dominard is a product of very well-known jumper sires (both sire and dam side) such as Domino, Domspatz, Gotthard, Graf, Goldfish II,… Dominard, who has phenomenal movements and unlimited jumping ability, was a huge winner at the 1991 Münster Handorf performance examination with 137 points for jumping ability (3rd place), a 10 for willingness to work and twice a 9 for both jumping components.
Dominard was still incredibly successful in the ring in his later sports career with stable riders Albert Voorn and Piet Raymakers. A large number of his offspring also perform well in international show jumping.

Now gelded, his semen is still available frozen. He enjoyed his retirement with Jewel’s Amethyst by his side at his home base Jewel Court Stud.
In August 2015, it was decided to put Dominard to sleep peacefully. After a fantastic old age, and out of respect for this great horse, the right decision was made at the right time.

Jewel's Brown Boy

Stallion | 25-03-1983 | BWP | dark brown | 1.68

Jewel’s Brown Boy was born on March 15, 1983. He was BWP licensed in May 1989. Brown Boy was 1995 approved for the KWPN after an abbreviated examination.
He combined suppleness, movement technique and power known both through his sire Lucky Boy and also his famous ancestors. Jewel’s Brown Boy died 1998 after a cardiac arrest.

Jewel’s Brown Boy was the best-performing Lucky Boy son in 1995. In 1992 he finished fifth in the Volvo World Cup in Mechelen, among other races. In 1994 he reached 6th place at the National Dunhill 1.50m in Arnhem and took 3rd place in the international 1.50m. In Monterrey, he got 1st place twice at 1.45m and 1.50m. Jewel’s Brown Boy was winner of the Maastricht Cesaro Trophy 1.50m.

Along the dam’s side, Brown Boy comes from a performance line that has already proven it: 3 of his half-brothers are Z-jumping. Dam Mariba was declared preferent by the KWPN in 1987 for this purpose. Pandoer Z, the show jumper with whom Johan Heinz achieved countless international successes, also comes from this dam line. As a show jumper, Brown Boy achieved many successes under Japanese rider Takashi Tomura. He finished fifth in the 1992 Volvo Worldcup Mechelen, among others.
